Emergency Estate Planning:

This page describes our fees and procedures regarding the following services:
  • House Calls
  • Hospital Visits
  • Deathbed Planning
  • Rush Estate Plans
Emergency Estate Plan Prices:

For emergency estate plans, including home and hospital visits, we bill hourly at $325/attorneys, $125/paralegals, with minimums and deposits as follows:

Trust Package for married couple: Minimum charge of $2,500 [$3,000 deposit to start work]

Trust Package for single Person: Minimum charge of $2,000

[$2,500 deposit to start work]

Smaller estate planning projects:  We don't have a set minimum, but we ask for a $1,000 deposit to start work.

Home and Hospital Visits:

Many people find themselves unable to travel to see an estate planning attorney.  When this is the case, the attorney will meet with them at the location of their choice.  This service is usually limited to Alameda County and Contra Costa County locations.

Payment of a deposit must be made in advance of the appointment, by credit card.  Payment may be made by the client's family members or friends, but all of our services and duties will be to the client alone, even when another person has paid.

Refund for Incomplete Estate Plans:

If the client dies prior to signing the estate planning documents or, in attorney's sole opinion, lacks capacity to execute such documents, attorney's fees will be limited to the actual time expended on the matter, plus travel time, at the current hourly rates of the attorney and staff involved.  In such cases, the person who made the deposit will be reimbursed promptly for any overage.

No Money-Back Guaranty:

There is no money-back guaranty on the Emergency Estate Planning services described on this page.
